High speed scanner enhances document management capability
e-docs UK have installed a new BancTec Docuscan 9000 scanning system at its head office in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. This is the first such installation by a UKbased document management service company and provides the company with the capacity to process up to 10 million items per month.
The installation of this new system, which offers scanning speeds of up to 260 pages per minute at the industry standard resolution of 200 dots per inch, is the latest stage of a £500K programme of investment currently being undertaken by e-docs UK. This programme will help develop the business into one of the UK’s leading providers of hosted and web-based document and business process management solutions that deliver significant cost savings and productivity improvements to clients.

It will enable us to process a higher volume of documents giving clients same-day online access to stored documents. E-docs UK is one of the few providers of scanning services to have its own hosted services to complement its range of document management and bureau solutions which include automated data capture, scanning, microfilm and archive services.
