PDF/A – A New Standard For Archiving Documents

HODDESDON, HERTFORDSHIRE, 2 JUNE 2007 – e-Docs UK is now able to provide images in PDF/A format for long term records management. This new format is expected to establish itself as the new electronic archiving standard giving the guarantee of long-term reproducibility. We would expect that Adobe will continue to improve its PDF offering with the addition of new technology such as 3D and XFA forms.

Adobe’s new Acrobat 8 Professional enables users to validate PDF content against the PDF/A criteria and save a copy in this new format.
